The Founders

Avigail Collins and Damian Collins are a London-based husband-and-wife creative partnership who have become influential figures in contemporary fashion styling and sustainable design. Their work has been featured in Italian Vogue, Vanity Fair, Interview, iD, Hunger, Twin, and Dazed, with advertising campaigns for Nike, Sony, Braun, Coca Cola, and others.

Career Highlights Styling Excellence

The duo's impressive client roster includes Rihanna, Kim Kardashian West, Ciara, Rita Ora, Ellie Goulding, Pixie Lott, Lorde, St Vincent, Daisy Lowe, Suki Waterhouse, Tinie Tempah, Disclosure, and Sam Smith. Avigail is recognized as the stylist who crafted some of Rihanna's and Kim Kardashian West's most iconic outfits and is known for her ability to help celebrities craft new and exciting looks.

Both stylists are currently represented by Forward Artists, bringing 20+ years of experience in fashion, music, and sport.

Silver Spoon Attire

In 2008, the couple founded Silver Spoon Attire, a stylist duo and accessories label that became synonymous with luxury streetwear. The brand features leathers, brightly colored beanies, and printed T- shirts, pioneering what they termed "Street Couture". Their iconic veil beanie became a cultural phenomenon, worn by Rihanna, Cara Delevingne, Justin Bieber, and featured in Vogue, MTV, Grazia, and Teen Vogue.

The brand began with a collection of luxe leather jackets named after celebrity kids, with lookbook images shot on their London apartment rooftop that gained traction on MySpace, leading to placement in Fred Segal and features in Vogue and Nylon Magazine.

Industry Recognition

During London Fashion Week 2013, the couple was given the opportunity to reimagine the basement at Browns Fashion (FOCUS), where they transformed the space into a teenage bedroom scene with posters, handmade accessories, curated 90's vintage, and Silver Spoon Attire exclusives.

Yeezy Consultation

The duo served as consultants for Kanye West's Yeezy Brand for two years, working as a Research Consultants at YEEZY from March 2018 to February 2020.

Sustainable Fashion Research Nothing New Studio

Through their Nothing New Studio platform, the couple emphasizes sustainable fashion practices, stating "If no-one ever made another T-Shirt again, we'd be okay" while acknowledging the need for personal expression through fashion. They have traveled extensively researching shopping habits, retail environments, production chains, and what happens to clothes after disposal.

The couple has been on a sustainable journey for more than seven years, becoming increasingly concerned with the over-saturation of the fast fashion industry. They've collaborated with brands like LØCI on sustainable sneaker collections inspired by nature's beauty.

Educational Background & Early Career

Avigail studied fashion design for four years at Istituto Marangoni in London and worked in Liberty's shoe department while interning for various designers. Damian worked for his father's clothing manufacturing business in Leeds, where he began upcycling hoodies and tees to develop his streetwear label "Digital Filth," which eventually led him to London.

Their breakthrough came in 2007 during a three-month period when Avigail interned for Rachel Roy in New York City, where they got engaged on Avigail's 21st birthday in Brooklyn. During this trip, Damian contacted celebrity stylist Mariel Haenn via MySpace, who was styling Rihanna at the time, leading to their first major industry connection.

Design Philosophy

The couple is known for their penchant for mixing streetwear with couture, drawing inspiration from the 90s era of supermodels, glamour and grunge, Prince, Nas, Clueless, and Gucci loafers. Avigail's approach focuses on creating completely new and unseen looks with young designers and brands, forming new trends instead of following existing fashion industry rules.

Current Work

The Organic Research Group represents the culmination of the Collins' expertise in vintage curation, archive fashion, and sustainable practices. Through this venture, they continue their mission to present alternatives to fast fashion while maintaining their reputation for discovering emerging designers and creating trend-setting looks for the world's most recognized artists and brands.
